Dell’s new XPS 13 laptop is certainly raising the bar when
it comes to bringing great displays into small form factor devices. The laptop
sports a 13.3-inch panel with a 5.2mm bezel on the top and sides, and boasts a
resolution that can go up to 3200 x 1800 pixels.
Under the hood, Dell has included the latest generation
Intel Core i processors that goes up to the top of the line Core i7 CPU.
Memory-wise, the XPS 13 comes with either 4GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB
SSD.
The XPS 13 is also packing a Chiclet style keyboard with
background lighting as well as a precision trackpad with glass buttons. Dell is
also claiming that the laptop can last up to 15 hours on a single charge.
Dell is planning to release the XPS 13 with a price tag of
$799 for the Core i3 model and can go up to $1899 for the Core i7 model with
8GB of RAM, QHD display and 256GB SSD.
Also on Dell’s rack at CES is the updated Venue 8 tablet.
The tablet sports an 8.4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600;
and just like the XPS 13, boasts an edge-to-edge panel that Dell calls as an
Infinity display.

2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, an optional LTE radio, an 8MP camera
and two 720p stereoscopic sensors that make up Intel’s new RealSense Snapshot
depth camera. This new camera technology from Intel allows users to capture
images with much more depth and offers more control over images in post processing.
The tablet will be available in a couple of days, initially
in the US and in Canada for $399.
