Huawei’s Ascend
G7 from last year’s IFA is getting an upgrade, and this year, the company
is dropping the Ascend moniker by just going with G7.
The phone is built around a 5.5-inch Full HD display with
2.5D Gorilla Glass protection. Performance is provided by a Snapdragon 615
chipset with a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable
storage.
Other notable features of the G7 include dual-SIM
functionality, 4G LTE connectivity, a 3000mAh battery and a fingerprint
scanner. The phone is mostly crafted from metal (around 90%) and runs on
Android 5.1 Lollipop with the company’s EMUI 3.1 on top.
The phone will be offered in three color options: silver,
grey and gold and will be sold for around $330.
