Yet another Surface
Pro-like laptop HP has emerged in the market, this time for the enterprise
segment with the HP Elite x2.
As a business product, the device is equipped with
BIOS-level security with HP’s SureStart tech. It can also be equipped with an
optional Intel vPro processor in exchange of the standard Core M processor.
The design and construction is made for business people who
are always on the go. The device is just 8.1mm thin and weighs less than two
pounds. Just like Microsoft’s Surface Pro convertible, the Elite x2 has a
built-in kickstand that provides 150 degrees of adjustability as well as a
removable keyboard.
The Elite x2 also has a 12-inch diagonal HD display with
anti-glare coating that automatically adjusts to different lighting conditions.
Other notable features of the Elite x2 include Noise Reduction software
courtesy of HP, a 4G LTE modem and USB Type-A and Type C ports.
HP will start shipping the Elite x2 by January 2016 but it
will be available for pre-order starting next week for $899 (package includes
the HP Travel keyboard and Active Pen).
