Japanese OEM Freetel has announced that it will be selling the
Katana 01 Windows 10-powered smartphone in Japan next week.
The handset is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor with
1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable internal storage. The entire device is built
around a 4.5-inch display and packs a 1750mAh battery.
There’s a 5MP camera at the back of the device while a 2MP
sits at the front. The Katana 01 will have dual-SIM functionality and will be
offered in Japan for JPY 12,800 or around $105 using current exchange rates.
Freetel’s website also listed a Katana 02 Windows 10
mid-range phone that sports a 5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage
and an 8MP camera at the back. However, the phone is still listed as “coming
soon”.
