It seems flip phones is going to stay a bit longer in China
(and Korea) as this phone design is still being utilized in the country. The
most recent addition to the niche of phones with this design is the Samsung
G9198 – a flagship flip phone that runs the latest version of Android.
The handset features two 3.9-inch 768p Super AMOLED panels
and is powered by a Snapdragon 808 chip with a hexa-core processor, 2GB of RAM
and 16GB of storage. There’s a 16MP f/1.9 camera with LED flash at the back and
a 5MP snapper on the front. Samsung has also added LTE connectivity, a
heart-rate sensor, two SIM card slots and a 2020mAh battery.
Apart from the design, the G9198 is your typical top-tier
device. As to whether this phone will be shipped outside China remains
uncertain.
