A group of Chinese engineers are trying to create a wearable
that wants to be different among the rest of the smart watches and fitness
bands currently in the market. Instead of becoming an extension of your phone,
the Triband Plus wants to be an accessory that extends the capabilities of your
handset.
The Triband Plus is like a Swiss army knife for your wrist.
Tucked inside its band is a flash drive (8GB, 16GB and 32GB), a flashlight, a
charging cable and a backup battery. The wearable can come in either black or
white and users are given the option if they want the micro USB version or the
Lightning connector version.
The flashlight on the Triband Plus can produce 23 Lumens or
brightness that can last up to 20 hours and is operated by the push button at
the side of the device. Energy will be provided by an 800mAh battery which both
powers the flashlight and can also charge any smartphone. Android users will
also be able to use the Triband Plus as a flash storage device as it comes with
different storage capacities from 8GB to 32GB.
