Samsung wowed everyone when it released the Galaxy
S6 and S6 Edge with their premium-feeling glass and metal construction. But
we do have to take note that the company’s flagship model comes with different
variants including a rugged version called the Active.
This week, the said smartphone has apparently passed the FCC
and with it a few bits of information fell through the cracks as well as some
photos of the device.
From the FCC document, the Galaxy S6 Active will reportedly
sport a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, a 16MP camera with optical image
stabilization, an Exynos 7420 chip and a 3500mAh battery.
Other rumoured specs of the S6 Active include Corning
Gorilla Glass 4 protection, a Mali-T760 GPU, 3GB of RAM, a 5MP front-facing
camera that can record Full HD videos, a Paypal-certified fingerprint sensor,
wireless charging and most likely IP67 and/or MIL-STD-810G certification.
