There’s a new batch of budget to midrange smartphones that
was unveiled this week in two different parts of the globe. On one hand we’ve
got the Lenovo A3900 which was launched in China and on the other, we have a
Huawei G Play Mini which was unveiled in Italy.
The Lenovo A3900 sports a 5-inch display with a 480 x 854
resolution and comes with a MediaTek MT6752 chipset featuring a 1.2GHz
octa-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of expandable storage.
Other notable specs of the Lenovo phone include a 2300mAh battery,
a 5MP camera at the back, a 2MP front-facing camera, 3G/4G connectivity and
Bluetooth. And all of that is bundled for an $80 price tag.
Now for a couple of hundred dollars more, Huawei has the G
Play Mini which was released today in Italy. The phone comes with a 5-inch
display with a 720p resolution and is powered by Huawei’s very own HiSilicon
Kirin 632 chipset.
The Kirin chipset features a 1.2GHz octa-core processor,
support for two SIM cards, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage. The phone
also comes with a 2550mAh battery, a 5MP snapper on the front and a 13MP main
camera at the back.
The Huawei G Play Mini should be available in European
countries soon for an estimated price of around $254.
