If you once had an iPhone and had your SMS go through
iMessage, you probably have lost a few messages when you transitioned to a new
mobile OS. Well, fortunately, Apple now lets you remove your phone number from
iMessage so you can take control of your inbox again.
Users simply need to go to Apple’s webtool and enter their
phone number into the iMessage deregister form. The user will then receive a
confirmation code, which he needs to enter into the confirmation box to completely
deregister their number from the app.
The tool currently supports 32 countries including
Australia, United States, Canada, Brazil, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and
Philippines to name a few.
