Fuji Gives Another Retro-looking Camera

Fujifilm’s X100S has been received positively ever since its announcement earlier this year at CES. A few months later, the Japanese camera-maker is already unveiling its successor – the Fuji X100T.

The X100T still bears that retro look as its predecessor. It has a 1MP APS-C X Trans II sensor, and second generation EXR image processor and a fixed f/2 lens. What’s new on the camera though is its Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder with electronic rangefinder capabilities. This means the device is capable of using its hybrid viewfinder much like a mechanical rangefinder.

At the back of the camera is a 1.04M-dot 3-inch LCD panel. There are also a couple of dials at the top of the device for controlling aperture and exposure compensation, and a Fn button that can be configured with 7 functions.

Now for those who are looking for a camera that have the ability to print photos on the fly, Fujifilm is also expanding its Instax line with three new models – the Instax Wide 30, and an updated Instax Mini 90 and Mini 8.

The Instax Wide 30 features an optical viewfinder, built-in electronic flash, a 95mm lens with two focus zones. It also comes with a close-up lens adapter for macro-photography.

Meanwhile the Instax Mini 8 comes with an improved viewfinder, automatic exposure measurement for aperture settings, a high-key mode that allows users to take bright photos. The Mini 90, on the other hand will pack features including Double exposure, macro mode and even a bulb mode.

All three models will be available before the end of the year. The X100T will retail for around $1300 in silver or all-black color options, while the Instax Wide 300 , Mini 8 and Mini 90 will sell for $130, $100 and $199 respectively.
