Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has been on a roll lately with various announcements including a new tablet – the Mi Tab and the Mi4, its new flagship smartphone.
This week, the company unveiled its new phablet – the LTE-enabled Redmi Note 4G. The device comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 800 chipset with a quad-core 1.6GHz processor and 2GB of RAM. There’s also a non-LTE version that features a 1.7GHz octa-core CPU with option for two SIM card slots.
The phone also comes with a 13MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, a 3200mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Xiaomi’s MIUI v5.0.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G will be available in black or white at a price tag of around $162. The phablet will be available initially in China and Malaysia with other markets to follow shortly.
