Apple is reportedly working with a number of top athletes
for its smartwatch. According to a report by 9to5Mac, the Cupertino company is employing
the help of basketball star Kobe Bryant and other athletes including ice hockey
player Dustin Brown and an unnamed member of the Boston Red Sox to help test
the “iWatch”.
In fact, Bryant has reportedly been spotted at Apple’s
headquarters in Cupertino to check out the device’s features. By the looks of
it, Apple is positioning the watch as a no-frills fitness watch, backed up by
the company’s HealthKit platform.
Other notable features of the iwatch include a plethora of
sensors including a heart rate tracker, blood glucose and blood oxygen
detectors and an analysis tool that can analyse a user’s sweat. The iWatch is expected to be announced by October shortly
after the release of the new iPhones.
