Around October last year, Adidas announced its first ever
smartwatch, the MiCoach
SmartRun. This week, the company is planning to add a new member to its
MiCoach family as a new smartband makes an appearance at several locations
(including the FCC) on the web yesterday.
There’s very limited information about the Fit Smart, except
for those that can be deduced from the leaked image such as heart rate sensor,
a number of hardware buttons and a dot-LED display. The smart band is expected
to connect to a smartphone using Bluetooth v4.0 LE.
It’s also good to note that the “Fit” in the device’s name
could hint that the miCoach Fit Smart will be part of Adidas’ offerings that
are integrated with the recently launched Google
Fit as Adidas is one of the announced hardware partners for this fitness
data collection platform.
