ZTE’s Nubia line of high-end
smartphones is getting two new models this week with the announcement of the
Nubia Z9 Max and Z9 Mini in Beijing.
Although the two phones are under
the Z9 model name, they couldn’t be more different. The larger Z9 Max for
starters comes with flagship specs including a Snapdragon 810 chip with 3GB of
RAM, 16GB of expandable storage and a 2900mAh battery.
On the other hand, the smaller Z9
Mini sports a Snapdragon 15 chip that features 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage
and 2900mAh battery.
As for the camera department, both
phones come with a 16MP camera at the back with a fast f/2.0 lens that offer
support for 4K video recording for the Z9 Max and Full-HD recording for the Z9
Mini. There’s also an 8MP camera on the front for selfies.
Both phones come with premium
design featuring glass, metal, denim and bamboo. They will also have LTE
connectivity and run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The ZTE Nubia Z9
Max will retail for $400 while the Z9 Mini will sell for $240.
