Motorola’s Moto E is officially getting a refresh. The
second generation Moto E just went live this week with a number of improvements
including a slightly bigger screen a more powerful processor.
The 2015 Moto E comes equipped with a 4.5-inch display that’s
covered in Gorilla Glass 3 with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and
anti-smudge coating. Under the hood, there’s a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 chip with
a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, an Adreno 306 GPU and 8GB of
expandable storage.
In terms of imaging, the device will come with a 5MP main
camera with an f/2.2 aperture and is capable of recording 720p videos at 30fps.
There’s also a VGA camera on the front, tow microphones on the headset for
stereo audio and a 2390mAh battery.
The new Moto E will be offered in two versions: one with LTE
connectivity and the other with 3G, though the latter will have lower specs. Motorola
is offering the Moto E (2015) at $150 in either black or white.
