Lenovo has finally decided it wants to get a smartphone with
a powerful camera to compete with the likes of the Asus
Zenfone Zoom, Nokia
Lumia 1020 and Galaxy
K Zoom for the attention of smartphone users that are also somewhat into
photography (or at least they’re trying).
The phone has a 16MP back-side illuminated sensor with triple
tone LED flash, optical image stabilization and a dedicated shutter button. It
doesn’t have the mechanical zoom lens of its competitors but it’s likely that
Lenovo will try and get software to compensate for the lack of hardware.
Specs-wise, the Lenovo shot is packing a 5-inch Full HD
display, a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable
storage (via microSD). The phone is built using a brushed metal frame with
metal accents. It will be powered by Android 5.0 out of the box, though pricing
and information are not yet revealed.
