Microsoft’s CES announcement this year might be a bit
low-key but it certainly not to be missed. The company’s latest feature phone
the Nokia 215 might probably be the last smartphone we’ll see in the next
couple of years that bears the Finnish company’s branding.
The Nokia 215 sports the unmistakable Nokia feature phone
look. It has a 2.4-inch QVGA display (240 x 320 pixels), an FM radio, Bluetooth
v3.0 with SLAM, a microSD card slot, a 1100mAh battery, a VGA camera at the
back with LED flash and an option for two SIM card slots.
What’s interesting with the Nokia 215 though is that it
offers essential internet connectivity features even at this low a price point.
Specifically, the handset comes with Opera Mini for general web browsing;
Facebook app, Facebook Messenger and Twitter for social media and Bing Search
and MSN Weather for looking at current events and weather.
The Nokia 215 will be available in select markets in the
coming weeks and will be priced at $30.
