Lenovo’s PC arm has already unveiled its new army of ThinkPad
business laptops a few days ago. But you should also remember that the company
also produces smartphones. In fact, the tech giant has two new models that it
unveiled at CES – both of which offer 64-bit architecture.
On one hand you have the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro, which is of
course an update to last year’s model
that was introduced at IFA. The new model sports a 5.3-inch Full HD IPS LCD
panel, a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chip with a 1.5GHz octa-core processor.
The phone also comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Similar to the HTC Desire Eye, the Vibe X2 Pro also sports two 13MP cameras. However, the front-facing camera doesn’t have its own flash. Instead, Lenovo has invented a detachable flash accessory that plugs into the 3.5mm head phone jack and provides even lighting for those who want a properly exposed selfie.
Power is provided by a 2410mAh battery while connectivity
comes thanks to a LTE Cat 4 radio and Wi-Fi ac support. Lenovo is planning to
ship the phone by April in a slew of colors including champagne gold, rock pink
and electric blue.
On the other hand, there’s the Lenovo P90 that’s equipped
with an Intel Atom Z3560 chip featuring a 1.83GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of
RAM and 32GB of storage. It comes with a slightly bigger display at 5.5 inches
and a bit more juice with a 4000mAh battery.
It also has LTE connectivity onboard but does away with the
extra SIM slot. Just like the Vibe X2 Pro, the P90 will come in three colors,
namely pearl white, lava red and onyx black once it becomes available in
February.
Lastly, Lenovo is also introducing the VB10 smart band. The wearable features an e-Ink display and provides users with notifications as well as monitor a user's health stats including steps, calories burned and traveled distance. The device will be available by April for $89.
