Indian brand Xolo is not only planning to take the title for
the world’s thinnest smartphone with its X5 Max, but it’s also trying to make a
name for itself by claiming that it has created the world’s lightest phone –
the 100g Q900s Plus (although this claim is up for debate).
The handset is built around a 4.7-inch 720p display and
comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor,
an Adreno 302 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded
with an additional 32GB using a microSD card. At the back, there’s an 8MP
camera while a 2MP snapper sits at the front of the device.
Other notable features of the Xolo Q900s Plus include Wi-Fi,
GPS, Bluetooth, an 1800mAh battery, 3G connectivity and Android 4.4 KitKat out
of the box. The handset will be sold on the company’s website with a price tag
approximately $133. There’s no word yet on shipping dates, more so if the phone
will be available outside India, but we’ll let everyone know once more details
are pushed through.
