Ultra luxury brand of smartphones might be a rare breed in
the tech space but every once in a while they do come up with something that
makes a lot of people’s jaws drop. Take for example this duo of Android
smartphones from Swiss jewelry brand Savelli that’s studded with precious
stones.
The two phones are under the Savelli Ruby edition and as the
collection name suggests features Ruby as the key material in their
construction. On one hand, there’s the Savelli Ruby Mystery, which comes with
18 carat white gold casing studded with 395 brilliant-cut rubies. It also
features stainless steel and rubberized alligator skin in its construction.
If you’re up for even more extravagance, there’s the Ruby
Passion that offers red alligator leather, the same 18 carat gold casing and
144 brilliant-cut diamonds. Both units will run on Android, but the exact
hardware specifications have not been released yet.
As with other ultra-luxury brands, the two phones will be
produced in limited quantities, with the Ruby Mystery limited to 20 pieces and
the Ruby Passion limited to only 8 pieces. Both phones are expected to make a
debut next month and will be priced at $36,500 for the Mystery and $57,500 for
the Ruby Passion.
