This week, Philteq, a major distributor of networking
products and computer peripherals in the Philippines launched a new line of
consumer electronics goods that are designed to complement mobile devices such
as smartphones and tablets.
The new products on the company’s racks include an entire
line of Bluetooth speakers and headsets, power banks and wired headsets, all of
which are sourced from China and Taiwan.
But unlike other Chinese brands that are characterized by
their almost cut-throat prices and not so good build quality, the new products
offered by Philteq promises to offer consumers with quality similar to products
produced by more expensive and well-known companies.
CANNICE - Immersive Audio without the Wires
The first product introduced by Philteq was Cannice’s range
of Bluetooth audio solutions. The entire line utilizes Bluetooth v4.0 and
provides up to 30 hours of music playback time and 300 hours of standby time.
Certain models in the line offer CVC noise reduction
technologies for crystal clear audio experience and provides consumers with
simple operation and switch-free connection to other Bluetooth devices.
Cannice is initially offering several models for the
Philippine market including the HeadBlue1, the iBlue6 and iBlue2, and the
sports-oriented Muses1 and Muses2.

HOOMIA - Premium Audio with Classic Styling
Now if you’re into using the more traditional form of
headsets, there’s Hoomia’s line of in-ear headphones.
The brand’s offerings are a bit of a strange mix from the quirky
look of the Bon9 and the Hoomia Magic Pencil to the classy style of the Bon5.
The Bon5 for instance is a Golden Pin Design awardee and features different
natural materials such as saffron pear, ebony and maple wood in its
construction.
Hoomia is also offering on-ear headphone including the Utwo
Ace and U3 Classic models that sports 30mm and 40mm drivers respectively, which
delivers vivid and accurate sound reproduction and deep bass response.

DOSS - Bluetooth-powered Boom Boxes
For consumers who want to share their music to other people,
Philteq is also offering a new line of Bluetooth speakers – Doss.
The Doss range uses Bluetooth A2DP function for quick
pairing with smartphones and tablets. Majority of the products in the range
boasts colourful designs, rechargeable Li-ion batteries with some models able
to last for more than 4 hours.
Other models in the range such as the DS-1156 and the
DS-1355 also sport a Doss-patented Air Bass technology that provides superior
surround sound experience. There’s also the DS-1209 that’s designed for outdoor
use thanks to its water spill, scratch and collision resistant design.

Last but certainly not the least are the PowerRocks line of
power banks. There are four types of products in the range including the
MagicStick models, the Stone, Tetris and Magic Cube models.
The largest group in the Powerocks section is the Stone series and offer different
capacities from 3000mAh up to 7800mAh and are available in different form
factors in order to suit different consumer preferences.
Those requiring multi-functionality in their power banks
could settle for the Tetris units which also doubles as an AC charger (offered
in 3000mAh and 6000mAh capacities). There’s also the Magicstic sub-category
